The Carers Centre staff had an informative training day in March with MECOPP (Minority Ethnic Carers of People Project) around Cultural Competency. As an organisation we want to ensure we are accessible and welcoming to all Carers across Dumfries and Galloway, and be aware of any barriers some may face. MECOPP has some great resources, and a website with helpful information for BAME (Black and Minority Ethnic) Carers as well as local organisations.
