Supporting Adult Carers Across Dumfries & Galloway

We provide advice and support to anyone who cares for a relative or friend.

Who is an Adult Carer?

An Adult Carer is someone who without payment, provides help and support to a partner, child, relative, friend or neighbour, who could not otherwise manage without their help. This could be due to age, physical or mental illness, addiction or disability.

What can we offer Adult Carers?

At Dumfries & Galloway Carers Centre, we aim to provide you with the support you need in your caring role. We encourage you to think of your health and wellbeing and have a life alongside caring.

Carers Emergency Card

Carers often worry about what would happen to the person they look after if they were taken ill and unable to tell anyone that someone depended on them. The Carers Emergency Card aims to provide the reassurance that Carers need.

" Memories made with going on a holiday. Spending quality time, away from home and the home stress life. With no appointments we were able to relax, go on small walks, visit the parks and genially have a holiday. I was relaxed and happy. I will always remember going away and being a family together. "
