What is a Carers Emergency Card? The Carers Emergency Card will identify you as a Carer in the event of an emergency. It is credit card size and will fit in a wallet or purse.

How will the Carers Emergency Card help me? It will give you peace of mind. You may be less anxious about going out and leaving the person you care for at home. If you have an accident or suddenly fall ill, anyone finding the card, for example, the Police, Ambulance or Fire Brigade will know you are a Carer and be able to contact the named responders on the card.

This is a document you complete to outline all the requirements and care needs your cared for person needs. You must make sure your nominated contact knows where to locate this document in an emergency. The Emergency plan can be sent out to you in the post or you can download and print it at home.
