The Carers’ Hub at DGRI

If you or the person you care for is in hospital, you can receive support at the Carers’ Hub. Or you may work for the NHS and also have caring responsibilities.  The Hub is based at the end of the Outpatient Corridor at DGRI, just outside the entrance to the Combined Assessment Unit.

The Carers Hub was set up to:

  • Acknowledge the essential and valued contribution of unpaid Carers alongside Health and Social Care staff.
  • Provide a dedicated space where Carers can access the support, information and advice they need within DGRI
  • Increase awareness and understanding of everybody’s caring roles, helping us to respond with compassion.
  • Signpost you to other expert

If no one is in when you visit you can leave your details and someone will get back to you. You can do this by either:

  • Leaving your details on a postcard in the secure postbox in the Hub
  • Telephone: 01387 241691
  • Email: dg.carershub@nhs.scot

The service is a partnership project between Carer Support Organisations and the NHS and has been provided through funding from the NHS Endowment Fund.
